First Poster!

Because my the final test of the speaking class is the presentation, and the teacher wanted us to make the poster. Actually, this is my first time to do the poster. I have no idea to do that. In China, we don't have the presentation in the high school. In college, we always use the PowerPoint to explain our projects. So I asked my boyfriend to be my teacher until I finish the poster. He is so nice and he taught me so many things. If I can't make the poster a little formal, we can make that be funny! I went to some website to find some pictures and printed them. Like I use the head of Hello Kitty to pretend a human. I printed the characters more funny and colorful. Because my presentation's topic is talking about the Dragon Boat Festival, and this festival is used to remember Qu Yuan, who was the hearo for the people in the old China. I made a funny dead body as him. He was died in the river, the people didn't want the fish eat the Qu Yuan's body, and make more zongzi to make the fish full. Then they can't eat the body.

It was so funny. I draw a sharp and made the sharp so funny. You can see the Picture. I will keep this poster, because this is my first poster!

By the way, I know somenoe in the reading class is my classmate in the speaking class. Do not copy my poster! Or I will...........

How You Can Do to Improve Your Brain

The Brain is the information center of our body, it controls our actions, our thinking and how we can communicate with other people. With we are getting older and older, our brain will get useless. You can find you will get harder to remember somethings or too weak to carry somethings. In case our brain gets older, I have some ideas to improve our brain.

1. Do more exercise. You can find the person who always running is more smart that the person who always sit in front of the computer. It will help you to rotate your brain.

2. Eat more fish. The fish contain the omega-3. It is benefit for our heart. It can help us to strong our brain and make us easily to focus on the things.

3. Memory. Try to find some pictures of your childhood and recall the memory of that time.

4. Reading. Read some useful books and write down what you think about the book, or you can take some notes. You can keep your brain always alive. Reading can make us become maturity.

5. Communication. Talk more, and your brain get more activities. During the conversation, you can find the happy, and happy will make us to relax.

You do not want a 24's body with the 80's brain. Upgrade your brain now!

The Influence of Toys on Children

Do you remember when you first own a first toy was? I think that would be way before you owned your first book. In our childhood, we spend most of our time with our parents and toys. You will see toys are with us long before we receive a book from our school. This means a small piece of toy can change our early life. As a result, it is important to know the influence of toys on children which can be both good and bad to our early life.
Toys can be a positive influence on children. First, many toys can help children to develop their interest of learning. When children see how their parents playing a cool toy, they tend to have interest to learn how to play it. They may follow the steps from their parents or they may develop their own style to play it. This is like an early stage of learning. You have an interest on a subject, and then you will have an interest to discover how it is. Secondly, toys can help children to make friends and develop friendships. I remember when I was a kid. I bring toys with me when my mom brought me to visit her friend’s house. There maybe some kids in there. I played my toys with them and we always make friends. Third, children learn how to share. Just like my mom always said, “You have to share your toys with your brother.”
Some toys can sometimes be bad influence on children, too. Video games are good examples. Actions games with violence and blood can be a poison to our children. For example, Bio Hazard is a famous game with zombies. Children who play it may get scared from the scenes. They may learn the actions from the game. I am sure parents don’t want their children to be like this. Therefore, be careful of what your children are playing!

Crabbing!

Yesterday, I went outside with my family to fishing the crabs. There is a park named Marine Park which is near my house.

It was so funny. We borrowed a cage and licence from my mother's friend.When we got there, it was heavy rainy, but our excited cover the rainy. We use the chicken wings as the baits and we put into the pocket which is belong the cage. Secondly, we threw the cage to the lake as far as we can. Then waiting. During this time, my mother and me went to dig the clams. Just a short time, we dug at lease 2 pounds!! It was so great! We continued to dig the clams until my father called us to go home. My mom was so excited and she said we don't need to buy the sea food. My father was excited too because he fished so many big crabs! We fished some female crabs, but we threw them back to the lake. Oh! By the way, at the first time we fished, we fished a starfish. At first, we thought there was a very big crab. Unfortunately, it was a starfish. Before we went home,we found we dig a geoduck, we put it back to the sea too.

Cheese Cake Equal Punlishment?

Yesterday was my boyfriend's birthday, and my made a cheese cake as a gift for my boyfriend. It took me 2 hours. I will show you how to make a cheese cake.
Material: cream cheese 600g, unsalted butter 60g, sugar A 70g, sugar B 80g, egg white 80g, egg yolk 40g, lemon juice 16g
Steps:
1. Put the all the cream cheese and unsalted butter to the microwave for melt.
2. Mix the cream cheese, unsalted butter, sugar A, egg yolk and lemon juice together.
3. Mix the sugar B and egg white together.
4. Put everything together and put them to the mold
5. It always use the oven, but I used the rice-cooker. Choose the Cake section and the time is 65 or 70 minutes.
It is done!
After I finished, I brought to my boyfriend's house and shared the cake with my boyfriend's sister and friend. I think the cake tastes awful, but they said it is OK.
After a while, we played the cards. You know what? They said the loser will eat a part of the cheese cake.
The friends almost ate the half of the cake. He said he want to die. Finally, we all ate some. But it was so funny!
I think I should upgrade my cooking skill.

The Differences of Education system between China and Canada

After studying in China and Canada, I have begun to understand what the differences of education system between them are. Firstly, you have to pay all the tuition of primary school in China. Only for the country's school, the Chinese government will pay for that. Secondly, our primary schools only have class till Grade 6. After that, the student will enter the secondary school.Thirdly, the students who study in China have lots of paper homework and examinations. Primary school too! So the children don't have any time to have fun with their friends, everyday is studying! Their teachers always tell them study hard now and you can enter a good university. Fourthly, in the class of China, you must hand up and wait for the teacher say you can answer the question, then you can answer.

Unlike the education in China, the education in Canada is more freedom. For the fees of primary school and high school, the Canada government will pay all of that. Also, the primary school has 7 grades and continue is high school. In the Canadian class, the teachers will focus on the activities teaching. They want their student learn in the fun. That is the easy way to accept the new knowledge. The teachers in Canadian are not so serious. The class environment like free talking. If the students have problem or the teachers have mistakes, they can point it out directly.

Cherry Blossoms

Today, I went to see the cherry blossoms in the North Vancouver with my boyfriend. The cherry blossoms are so pretty, and they are in pink. From the long way, we can see the sea of pink. And with the strong wind yesterday night, more cherry blossoms were fell on the ground. I felt so sad when I see this view. I saw the miss when I see the cherry blossoms on the ground. I am so miss my friends who are in China. I know they always stand my side and support what I do. But I really miss them. I want to shopping with them. One of my best friends is pregnant, she has a baby for 3 months. I really want to go back and support her.
